TalkTalk Fibre 35 is the most basic service that TalkTalk offer. This service is the lowest speed and it the lowest price available with TalkTalk. The Black Wifi hub will be delivered to your house and you can connect it straight to your landline if you still have a connection, to access the internet right away. It is completely self-setup and very easy to do so. The main activities this level of broadband can support are having a few devices online at once, shopping, streaming entertainment and messaging your friends. You may not be able to do all of these at once and large movies will likely experience delays in buffering.

TalkTalk Fibre 35 is good for those who do not need fast internet and those who just need a connection in their house. It offers flexibility and it is a low price. This would be recommended to people living alone because connecting multiple devices will overwhelm the broadband bandwidth. With the speeds on offer for this service, gamers should not consider this as an option. The Fibre 65 is the new speed up and it is only £1 more expensive so it is worth considering this instead.

When you order TalkTalk Fibre 35, you will have the landline included in your order. You will received a TalkTalk black hub router and free TalkTalk to TalkTalk Calls. The service is the most basic setup with the provider that offers the most basic broadband services so price is the most important factor to consider with TalkTalk.

Fibre 35 is available on a 24 month contract for £24 per month. This is one of the lowest prices for broadband on the market. For £1 more you can get Fibre 65 so whilst we feel that Fibre 35 is a low price, it’s not the best value for money.

Fibre 35 offers 36-37Mb download speeds, and 8-9Mb Upload speeds. These speed levels would have been fast in the early 2000’s but now with high quality media available through streaming platforms or HD gaming very popular, these speeds will struggle to deliver a quality experience when surfing the web.

Pros:

  • Low cost
  • Easy to setup
  • Free TalkTalk Calls

Cons:

  • Slow speeds
  • £1 cheaper than double the speed with Fibre 65
  • Only okay if you live alone

The Black TalkTalk Hub offers a reliable Wifi signal capable of delivering a signal to both downstairs and upstairs. The Hub has smart tech that will prevent interference in your home from affecting the signal. The hub is built specifically for the TalkTalk network so use this rather than your own router for the best connection. You can just plug it in, switch it on and start getting on the internet. They have made it look nice too so it will fit in with your furniture.

Fibre 35 should be available to the majority of home owners because it works with the OpenReach Network so if you can get a landline in, then you can get TalkTalk Fibre 35. Check this page for availability, TalkTalk will try to recommend Fibre 65 over Fibre 35.

In order to switch to TalkTalk, just buy your TalkTalk service and then call up your existing provider to let them know that you will be switching and who you will be switching to. They will handle everything else for you.

TalkTalk is the 4th largest broadband provider in the UK. They are direct competition for BT. Initially they had problems with their customer service but this has changed. Trust Pilot rates them very well compared with other broadband providers. TalkTalk’s service is streamlined and simple. For those looking for a no thrill broadband connection, TalkTalk is the one to go for.
