Virgin TV and Broadband Deals 2026: Packages, Prices and Flex TV Explained
Last checked: 1 October 2026
Virgin now sells TV around Stream, Flex and Mega TV — not the old Mixit and Maxit packages
Virgin Media’s current proposition starts with flexible Broadband + Flex TV and moves through entertainment, cinema, sport and Volt bundles. Every current new-customer TV package uses a compact Stream box rather than making a recording box the centre of the offer.

Virgin TV and broadband deals: the quick answer
Virgin’s current TV range is much easier to understand when you divide it into two routes.
Broadband + Flex TV
From £28.99/monthThe broadband normally has a 24-month term, while the Flex television service operates on a separate rolling 30-day arrangement. You start with 150+ essential channels and can add or remove selected premium packs and subscriptions monthly.
Best for viewers who want live television without committing to the same premium channel line-up for two years.
Mega TV packages
From £32.99/monthEntertainment, Cinema, Sport and Volt bundles use Mega TV as their television foundation. Eligible bundles include Netflix Standard with Ads and use one 24-month contract for the bundled Virgin services.
Best for households that want a larger fixed channel package and will keep it throughout the minimum term.
Current Virgin TV and broadband packages and prices
These were the principal public package examples displayed when checked on 1 October 2026. Virgin can show different speeds, prices and promotions by postcode, so treat this as a comparison guide rather than a contractual quote.
| Package | Current advertised price | Main inclusions | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Broadband + Flex TV | From £28.99/month | 150+ essential channels, Stream box and optional monthly entertainment packs | Flexibility and lower starting cost |
| Entertainment | From £32.99/month | Mega TV, 200+ channels, qualifying broadband and Netflix Standard with Ads | Best balance for most homes |
| Entertainment Volt | From £38.99/month | Mega TV, Gig1 on the current example, Netflix and Volt benefits | Existing or prospective O2 customers |
| Cinema | From £42.99/month | Mega TV, Sky Cinema HD, Netflix and qualifying broadband | Regular film viewers |
| Sport | From £52.99/month | Mega TV, Sky Sports HD, Netflix and qualifying broadband | Sky Sports viewers |
| Sport + Cinema Volt | From £70.99/month | Mega TV, Sky Sports HD, Sky Cinema HD, Gig1, Netflix and an O2 SIM | Homes wanting the largest combined package |
Broadband + Flex TV
Flex is Virgin’s most adaptable current television option. It combines a Virgin broadband contract with a separate television service that runs on a rolling 30-day basis.
- 150+ essential channels and catch-up players
- One Virgin Stream box
- Optional packs including Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, TNT Sports, kids and entertainment
- Selected streaming subscriptions that can be changed monthly
- Access to Virgin TV Go
Virgin combines the charges into one bill, but the broadband and Flex elements have different contractual structures. Cancelling a television add-on does not cancel the underlying broadband commitment.
Check the current Flex price and the monthly packs available with your chosen broadband speed.
Entertainment: the best conventional bundle for most households
The Entertainment bundle is the clearest starting point when you want more than the Flex foundation but do not need premium sport or cinema.
Virgin currently advertises 200+ channels, Mega TV, its Ultra HD channel and Netflix Standard with Ads on the qualifying bundle. The broadband tier can vary with the offer available to your address.
Virgin TV sports and cinema packages
Virgin can combine its own television platform with premium channels from Sky, TNT Sports and other providers. That makes it a credible alternative to taking Sky directly, but the cheapest answer depends on the exact channels you watch.
Sport packages
The current Sport example includes Sky Sports HD with Mega TV. TNT Sports is a separate optional pack, so do not assume that buying “Sport” automatically includes every major sports channel.
Cinema packages
The current Cinema example includes Sky Cinema HD with Mega TV. Compare it with the streaming services you already pay for before adding another long-term film subscription.

What is the Virgin Stream box?
Stream is the compact internet-connected television box supplied to current new Virgin TV customers. It brings live channels, catch-up television, on-demand content and supported streaming applications into one interface.
- Ultra HD capable with compatible content and television
- Voice search and control
- Profiles and personalised recommendations
- My Watchlist for saving programmes
- Pause points that can follow you between compatible Stream boxes
- Simple broadband-powered setup without traditional television cabling
Virgin TV multiroom
Customers taking a bundled Virgin television package can add up to five additional Stream boxes, creating a maximum of six boxes around the home.
- First additional Stream box: currently £10/month
- Each further additional box: currently £5/month
- Additional boxes use rolling 30-day subscriptions
- Boxes connect through the home broadband network
The system can share profiles, recommendations and pause points across rooms. Its practical performance therefore depends on reliable Wi-Fi reaching every television location.
Virgin TV Go
Virgin TV Go is included with both flexible and bundled TV packages. It lets eligible customers access live channels, catch-up and on-demand content on compatible phones, tablets and computers.
- Register up to five compatible devices
- Stream on up to two devices simultaneously
- Watch in the UK through Wi-Fi or mobile data
- Available content depends on the television package and rights restrictions
Not every channel or programme available on the Stream box is necessarily available through TV Go.
Which Virgin broadband speed should you take with TV?
Television streaming does not require gigabit broadband by itself. Choose the speed for the whole household rather than assuming the biggest TV package needs the fastest connection.
| Tier | Advertised average download | Likely fit | Our view |
|---|---|---|---|
| M125 | 132Mbps | Smaller or lighter-use household | Enough for normal streaming and browsing |
| M250 | Around 264Mbps | Family with several active devices | A sensible capacity upgrade |
| M350 | 362Mbps | Busy household, gaming and multiple streams | Strong all-round choice |
| M500 | 516Mbps | Heavy downloads and many simultaneous users | Useful when the price difference is small |
| Gig1 | 1,136Mbps | Power users and large households | Excellent, but unnecessary for television alone |
| Gig2 | 2,000Mbps | Selected Full Fibre areas | Specialist capacity rather than a normal TV need |

Virgin Media Volt benefits
Volt applies when a household has eligible Virgin Media broadband and an eligible O2 Pay Monthly service. The services can involve separate contracts even when presented together during the sale.
Current Volt benefits can include:
- A broadband speed boost to the next available tier, up to 1Gbps
- Double eligible O2 mobile data
- WiFi Max and the 30Mbps room-speed guarantee
- Up to three WiFi Pods where needed under the guarantee process
- O2 Priority and eligible roaming benefits
Our Virgin Media Volt guide explains the eligibility rules and benefits in more detail.
WiFi Max and Virgin’s room-speed guarantee
WiFi Max is included with current Gig1 and qualifying Volt packages. It can also be added to lower broadband tiers for a monthly charge.
Virgin currently promises at least 30Mbps download speed in every room under the qualifying guarantee. The process can provide up to three WiFi Pods if needed. If the required performance still cannot be delivered after the defined process, Virgin advertises a £100 bill credit.
Contract length, annual increases and the real cost
Virgin’s current bundled television offers normally use a 24-month minimum term. A new customer’s monthly price increases by a fixed £4 each April.
A contract taken in October 2026 can therefore pass through the April 2027 and April 2028 increases before the minimum term ends.
| Illustrative starting price | Starting monthly charge | After April 2027 | After April 2028 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flex starting example | £28.99 | £32.99 | £36.99 |
| Entertainment starting example | £32.99 | £36.99 | £40.99 |
| Sport starting example | £52.99 | £56.99 | £60.99 |
Illustrations assume the published £4 annual increase applies to the stated starting price. Your Contract Summary and order date determine the actual charges.
Setup and installation
QuickStart self-installation is currently supplied without an additional installation charge where the property and package qualify. If QuickStart is available but you choose an engineer installation instead, Virgin currently states a £30 charge. Other installation requirements can be treated differently, so check the basket.
Virgin TV and broadband alternatives
| Provider or setup | Consider it when… | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Sky Stream + Sky Broadband | You prioritise Sky’s own television ecosystem and channel packages | Compare the complete contract price and annual increases |
| Sky Stream + another broadband provider | You want Sky television but another network offers better broadband locally | Two suppliers and bills |
| EE TV + BT/EE broadband | You want an Openreach-based connection and flexible NOW content packs | Different channel structure from Virgin and Sky |
| Broadband + streaming apps | You rarely watch conventional live or premium channels | No integrated large-channel package |

Is Virgin TV and broadband worth it?
Yes for a TV-focused household — but start with Entertainment or Flex before adding premium packs
Virgin has one of the strongest integrated broadband and television propositions in the UK. Its advantage is not simply broadband speed. The combination of Mega TV, Stream, premium-channel choice, TV Go, multiroom and Volt can replace several separate services.
Flex is the strongest choice when you value the ability to change optional television packs. Entertainment is our preferred fixed bundle for a typical family because it gives you the main television proposition without automatically paying for sport and cinema.
The expensive packages make sense only when their premium channels replace subscriptions you would otherwise buy separately. Gig1 can be excellent, but television streaming alone does not require a gigabit connection.
Our verdict: Choose Virgin when you want fast broadband and a substantial integrated TV service. Choose broadband plus separate streaming apps when live channels, sport and cinema packs are not central to how your household watches television.
