Vodafone Pro 3 review: the short version
Vodafone has bundled most of its premium home-connectivity features into one package.
That creates a product which is easier to justify for a demanding home than a simple “pay more for a faster speed” upgrade.

How fast is Vodafone Pro 3?
Vodafone advertises Pro 3 Full Fibre speeds reaching up to 2.2Gbps, depending on the network and package available to your address.
Current Vodafone plan documentation also contains lower Pro 3 tiers, so taking Pro 3 does not automatically mean you are buying the maximum 2.2Gbps service.
The critical point is that Pro 3 describes the premium package, not one single broadband speed.

Pro 3 upload speeds can be just as important as downloads
This is one of the most interesting parts of Vodafone's broadband network.
Vodafone supplies broadband over multiple underlying Full Fibre networks.
That means upload performance can vary materially by location.
Vodafone currently gives these examples:
- Openreach Full Fibre 150 — around 27Mbps upload
- Openreach Full Fibre 500 — around 68Mbps upload
- Eligible CityFibre and Community Fibre areas — upload and download can be symmetrical
- Pro 3 Full Fibre 2.2 — up to 2.2Gbps upload on qualifying symmetrical infrastructure
Always inspect the upload estimate Vodafone gives your specific property.
What does Wi-Fi 7 actually add?
Wi-Fi 7 is the headline hardware feature of Pro 3.
The newer wireless standard is designed for higher capacity, greater efficiency, lower latency and improved performance in busy wireless environments.
Those benefits are useful in homes with increasing numbers of high-performance devices.
But there is an important limitation:
Your device needs Wi-Fi 7 hardware to use Wi-Fi 7 features fully.
An older Wi-Fi 5 laptop remains a Wi-Fi 5 laptop.
A Wi-Fi 6 phone does not become a Wi-Fi 7 phone because the router changes.
Vodafone Ultra Hub 7
The Ultra Hub 7 replaces the standard Power Hub as the centre of a Pro 3 home network.
It is designed specifically around Full Fibre and Vodafone's Wi-Fi 7 proposition.
For most readers, the practical differences matter more than memorising radio specifications:
- Newer Wi-Fi generation
- Designed for Vodafone's fastest Full Fibre tiers
- Works with the Super WiFi 7 Booster mesh system
- Supports Pro 3's managed connectivity proposition

How good is the Pro 3 Super WiFi guarantee?
Vodafone supplies one Super WiFi Booster with Pro 3.
If the home still does not receive qualifying coverage, Vodafone can provide additional Boosters.
Under the current terms, up to three Boosters in total can be supplied at no additional cost if you do not receive:
- A Wi-Fi signal; and
- At least 10Mbps throughput
in each qualifying room.
If the required performance still cannot be achieved after all three Boosters and Vodafone's troubleshooting process, Vodafone gives the customer a right to leave without the normal early termination fee.
The current terms require the customer to notify Vodafone within 30 days of receiving the third Booster if they want to exercise that right.
Pro 3 includes the mesh Booster rather than charging the £7 monthly Super WiFi add-on used with standard Vodafone Broadband.
Vodafone Pro 3 4G Broadband Back-up
This is arguably Pro 3's best feature for home workers.
The backup dongle is designed to connect through Vodafone's 4G mobile network when the fixed broadband service suffers a total loss of service.
The current backup allowance is 100GB.
If that allowance is exhausted during a genuine fixed-line fault, Vodafone says its support team may add more data as required at no additional cost.
There are limits worth understanding:
- It is not intended as a permanent replacement for the fibre connection
- It should be used when the fixed broadband service has failed
- It cannot be used for roaming
- Performance depends on Vodafone 4G coverage and mobile-network conditions

Standard Vodafone Broadband currently receives a three-month trial before Secure Net Home becomes an optional paid service.
Broadband Xperts and 90-day monitoring
Pro 3 also upgrades Vodafone's support proposition.
Vodafone's Broadband Xperts provide technical broadband support between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday, including public holidays.
Pro 3 adds call prioritisation and monitoring during the first 90 days after installation.
The Xperts operate remotely, although Vodafone says they can arrange an engineer visit where necessary.
The 90-day monitoring period is potentially useful because installation, Wi-Fi placement and early-life faults are exactly when many broadband problems first become apparent.
Is Vodafone Pro 3 good for gaming?
Yes, but probably not for the reason the 2.2Gbps headline suggests.
Online gameplay uses relatively little bandwidth.
The important factors are:
- Latency
- Jitter
- Packet loss
- Connection stability
- Local Wi-Fi quality
- Whether the gaming device is wired
Where Pro 3's extreme speed becomes useful is downloading enormous games and updates.
Vodafone's own speed examples show just how short download times can become when a server and wired device can actually deliver multi-gigabit throughput.
Vodafone Pro 3 for working from home
This may be the strongest use case for the package.
Not because Teams or Zoom needs Wi-Fi 7.
It doesn't.
The value comes from the combination of:
- Full Fibre
- Mesh Wi-Fi
- 4G backup
- Priority support
- Early monitoring
- Potentially symmetrical high-speed uploads
A home worker transferring ordinary documents will gain almost nothing from moving from 500Mbps to 2.2Gbps.
A professional uploading hundreds of gigabytes of raw footage may gain a huge amount from a symmetrical multi-gigabit connection.
A consultant who loses money every time the broadband fails may value 4G backup more than either of those speed numbers.

How much does Vodafone Pro 3 cost?
Current headline price: around £36/month
24-month minimum termVodafone's own live pages currently show a small 50p discrepancy in the lowest advertised Pro 3 starting figure, with its dedicated Pro page showing £35.50 and its main broadband page recently displaying £36.
Because actual price also depends on address, tier and promotions, we would use around £36 as the editorial reference point and rely on Vodafone's checkout for the final contractual figure.
The £12-ish premium over Vodafone's £24 standard starting point looks substantial.
But compare it with what you would otherwise buy separately.
Super WiFi alone currently costs £7 per month on standard broadband.
If you were already going to add that, the effective premium narrows significantly before you assign any value to:

Vodafone Together makes Pro 3 more interesting for mobile customers
Vodafone's current Together terms give eligible Pay Monthly mobile customers a £4 monthly discount on Pro Broadband.
Standard broadband receives a smaller £2 discount.
That makes Pro 3 more competitive for a household already committed to Vodafone mobile.
Check your Together price before taking Pro 3 at the normal public rate.
Vodafone Pro 3 annual price increases
Vodafone's current Home Broadband terms increase the monthly plan charge by £3.50 on 1 April each year.
A new 24-month Pro 3 contract taken in August 2026 can therefore pass through two April price-change dates.
Using the approximate £36 public starting point:
- Starting price — around £36
- April 2027 — around £39.50
- April 2028 — around £43
The precise figures depend on the price you actually contract at.
Is Vodafone Pro 3 overkill?
For many homes, yes.
That isn't a criticism of the product.
It is simply the reality of modern broadband capacity.
A household can stream several 4K televisions, play online games, make video calls and run dozens of devices on a connection far below 1Gbps.
So a 2.2Gbps package should not be treated as the default “best” option.
But Pro 3 is broader than the speed tier.
Pro 3 makes sense when...
- You have a large or difficult Wi-Fi property
- You value automatic backup
- You work from home and downtime matters
- You already use Vodafone mobile
- You own Wi-Fi 7 equipment
- You need very high uploads

Vodafone Pro 3 Broadband Review 2026: verdict
One of the better premium broadband packages — but most households should still start with Standard
Vodafone Pro 3 is a technically ambitious broadband package.
The Ultra Hub 7 and Wi-Fi 7 bring Vodafone's wireless hardware up to the latest generation.
The Super WiFi 7 Booster gives the package a proper whole-home proposition rather than expecting one router to cover every property perfectly.
The 4G backup solves a completely different problem: keeping the household connected when the fibre connection itself fails.
Secure Net Home and enhanced support add another layer of service.
And where the underlying Full Fibre network supports it, symmetrical multi-gigabit performance is genuinely impressive.
That is the good part.
The danger is paying for all of this simply because the specification sheet looks better.
Most households do not need 2.2Gbps.
Most online games do not need even 100Mbps once running.
Streaming television does not require gigabit broadband.
Ordinary home working does not require Wi-Fi 7.
The right question is therefore:
Would you pay for the connectivity package even if Vodafone removed the 2.2Gbps headline?
If the answer is yes because you want mesh Wi-Fi, automatic backup, premium support and newer hardware, Pro 3 makes sense.
If the answer is no and you simply want fast Full Fibre, standard Vodafone Broadband is the stronger value proposition.
The product gets particularly interesting for two types of user.
First: people whose internet connection is business-critical. Automatic backup and enhanced support can be more valuable than headline speed.
Second: advanced users on symmetrical Full Fibre networks. A genuine multi-gigabit upstream connection can change professional cloud, backup and production workflows.
