BT TV and EE TV are not competing television services in the same way that BT and Sky would be competing services.

BT has partnered with EE for its current television proposition. BT's own website now sells EE TV packages alongside BT broadband.

How to build the right BT TV and broadband bundle

The easiest way to avoid overpaying is to build the package in the right order.

This prevents a common problem with bundles: starting with the most expensive package and then trying to justify why you need everything in it.

The five EE TV packages available through BT

BT currently lists five main flexible EE TV packages.

The prices below are the TV portion of the package advertised on BT's website when checked on 15 August 2026. Broadband is additional.

These figures were taken from BT's live television packages page on 15 August 2026 and exclude the broadband price.

Promotional discounts can change quickly, so we would not choose the package simply because one of them has an aggressive three-month introductory offer.

What does a real combined TV and broadband offer look like?

EE's direct website provides a useful current example because it advertises the broadband and television together rather than presenting the TV component separately.

This example shows why a broadband and TV deal needs more analysis than a single large monthly number.

The introductory price is £27.99, but the package moves to £48.99 after three months and then passes through scheduled annual increases.

Which broadband speed should you pair with EE TV?

Television streaming itself is not a reason to automatically buy BT's fastest broadband package.

Even a household watching several streams simultaneously can often operate perfectly well below 900Mbps.

Faster broadband becomes more valuable when the television is sharing the connection with several other demanding users, large game downloads, cloud backups and heavy home working.

The £6 annual price increase matters on a TV and broadband bundle

This is probably the most important pricing detail on the entire page.

BT currently states that on applicable in-contract plans:

On a 24-month contract taken in August 2026, you can therefore encounter both the March 2027 and March 2028 scheduled increases.

That means the first price shown in an advert can be a poor representation of the price you will pay towards the end of the agreement.

EE TV Box Pro or Box Edge?

The TV package determines what you can watch.

The box determines a large part of how you watch it.

For a household that records sport, soaps or live programmes, we think Box Pro has a very clear advantage.

For someone who already treats television like Netflix and rarely records anything, Edge is much easier to justify.

Which BT TV and broadband bundle is best for entertainment?

Entertainment is where we would start for most households that do not need premium sport.

It currently combines NOW Entertainment & HBO Max with Netflix Standard with adverts.

That gives access to premium entertainment while avoiding the much larger sports-package prices.

Big Entertainment becomes the better choice when NOW Cinema is important.

The key question is therefore not whether Big Entertainment has “more content”. It obviously does.

The question is whether you would independently pay for the additional Cinema membership.

Which BT TV and broadband bundle is best for sport?

The sports decision is particularly straightforward.

Sport is primarily the TNT Sports package.

Big Sport combines TNT Sports with Sky Sports through NOW.

Full Works combines the broader sports proposition with entertainment and Cinema.

Do you need Full Works?

Full Works is the easiest package to understand and the easiest package to overbuy.

It is designed for a household that genuinely wants premium entertainment, movies and sport in the same package.

If one person watches Premier League football and Formula 1 while somebody else watches HBO Max, Netflix and Sky Cinema, the proposition starts to make sense.

If everybody mainly watches football, Big Sport is the more relevant comparison.

If nobody watches sport, Big Entertainment is much more logical.

And if your household mostly wants mainstream entertainment, start with Entertainment.

Can you change your EE TV package later?

Yes. Flexibility remains one of EE TV's most useful features.

EE allows eligible customers to move between its TV packages during the contract, subject to its current upgrade and downgrade rules.

This is particularly valuable for sports viewers.

You might value Big Sport during a football or Formula 1 season but want a different content mix at another point in the year.

EE also sells TV Extras that can be added and removed separately.

That means you do not necessarily need to buy the largest package for 24 months simply because there is one service you want occasionally.

How much does EE TV multiroom cost?

EE currently advertises an additional EE TV Box Edge for £10 per month to watch in another room.

That cost deserves to be included in the total household bundle before ordering.

Two-room viewing may be very valuable to a family, but an extra £10 each month becomes £120 a year before considering any future pricing changes.

Again, evaluate the household rather than the feature list.

EE TV apps and streaming services

EE TV combines traditional television navigation with major streaming platforms.

Depending on your package and subscriptions, the platform can bring together services including:

• NOW
• Netflix
• HBO Max
• Prime Video
• Disney+
• TNT Sports
• Free-to-air television

This hybrid structure is the main reason EE TV feels different from simply buying several streaming apps independently.

Already have BT Broadband?

You do not necessarily need to start again with a completely new broadband order.

BT's TV site specifically provides an option for existing BT Broadband customers to add EE TV to their package.

Before doing that, check your existing broadband contract.

Adding or changing TV can interact with your wider BT relationship, so establish:

• Your current broadband price
• Your broadband contract end date
• Whether adding TV starts or extends a minimum term
• Your current broadband speed
• The TV package price
• Any activation fee
• The equipment being supplied
• Scheduled future prices

We would not make this a loyalty decision.

We would compare the final order produced by each relevant route.

The television package itself is not the reason to choose one route over the other.

Price, broadband service, equipment, contract terms and eligibility are.

BT TV and broadband vs Sky

For many shoppers, the real comparison is not BT versus EE.

It is the EE TV ecosystem versus Sky.

EE has an interesting advantage for households that still value conventional recording because Box Pro contains a 1TB hard drive.

Sky Stream instead centres its experience around Sky's Playlist system rather than conventional local hard-drive recording.

Sky also has the advantage of being its own native premium-TV ecosystem, while EE uses partners such as NOW to bring Sky channels into EE TV.

Are BT TV and broadband deals good value?

They can be.

The attraction is convenience.

You can combine broadband, premium television, major streaming services and sport into a relatively integrated package rather than managing everything independently.

But bundles also make it easier to lose sight of how much each component costs.

A broadband package that looks reasonable can become expensive after:

• Sports
• Cinema
• Additional TV boxes
• Calling plans
• Annual price increases

For that reason, we recommend building your own “unbundled equivalent” before signing.

Ask what you would pay if you bought the broadband and streaming memberships you actually use separately.

If the EE TV bundle is cheaper or close enough that the integrated TV experience is worth the difference, it is a strong proposition.

If the bundle is substantially more expensive because it includes content you rarely watch, reduce the package.
