BT TV is now EE TV — so choosing a TV and broadband deal is really about building the right bundle

If you search for BT TV and broadband deals in 2026, you will still find BT selling television alongside broadband.

But the television service you are choosing is now EE TV.

That means the buying decision is no longer simply “which BT TV package should I get?” It is better viewed as four separate choices: your broadband speed, your EE TV package, your TV box and any additional services you genuinely need.

Quick answer: Entertainment is the sensible starting point for general TV, Big Entertainment adds Cinema, Sport is built around TNT Sports, Big Sport combines TNT Sports with Sky Sports through NOW, and Full Works is the all-in bundle. Then pair the TV package with the lowest broadband speed that comfortably handles your household.

BT TV vs EE TV: the first thing to understand

The featured image for this article says “BT vs EE”, but there is an important distinction.

BT TV and EE TV are not competing television services in the same way that BT and Sky would be competing services.

BT has partnered with EE for its current television proposition. BT's own website now sells EE TV packages alongside BT broadband.

You can also shop for EE TV and broadband directly through EE.

Buying through BT

You choose an EE TV package alongside an eligible BT broadband service.

This route will be particularly familiar to existing BT broadband customers and people already shopping on BT.com.

VS

Buying through EE

EE advertises combined EE TV and EE broadband offers directly, including promotional bundle pricing.

The core television proposition is still EE TV.

So don't choose based on the logo alone Compare the actual broadband speed, TV package, equipment, monthly price, activation cost and future scheduled price increases shown in the final order. The promotional route can matter more than whether you started your search on BT.com or EE.co.uk.

How to build the right BT TV and broadband bundle

The easiest way to avoid overpaying is to build the package in the right order.

1 Choose your broadband speed

Pick the lowest Full Fibre tier that comfortably supports your household rather than automatically selecting the fastest package.

2 Choose your TV content

Decide whether you actually need entertainment, movies, TNT Sports, Sky Sports or the full combination.

3 Choose the TV box

If recording matters, concentrate on Box Pro. If you mainly stream and use catch-up, Box Edge may be sufficient.

4 Add Extras last

Only then consider multiroom, extra streaming memberships, calling plans or other additions.

This prevents a common problem with bundles: starting with the most expensive package and then trying to justify why you need everything in it.

The five EE TV packages available through BT

BT currently lists five main flexible EE TV packages.

The prices below are the TV portion of the package advertised on BT's website when checked on 15 August 2026. Broadband is additional.

These are TV prices, not complete broadband bundle prices BT states that its EE TV packages need to be combined with broadband. The total you pay therefore depends on the broadband service and promotion available at your address.

BT EE TV package prices compared

PackageCurrent TV offerNormal current price after promoFrom 31 Mar 2027From 31 Mar 2028Main content
Entertainment£1/month for 3 months£22£24£26NOW Entertainment, HBO Max and Netflix
Sport£5/month for 3 months£25£27£29TNT Sports

Big Sport£15/month for 3 months£55£57£59TNT Sports plus Sky Sports on NOW
Full Works£88/month£88£90£92Sport, entertainment and Cinema

These figures were taken from BT's live television packages page on 15 August 2026 and exclude the broadband price.

Promotional discounts can change quickly, so we would not choose the package simply because one of them has an aggressive three-month introductory offer.

Look past the first three months Big Sport at £15 initially looks dramatically cheaper than its normal £55 TV price. Entertainment moves from £1 to £22. Always judge the bundle using the price you will pay after the introductory period as well as the headline offer.

What does a real combined TV and broadband offer look like?

EE's direct website provides a useful current example because it advertises the broadband and television together rather than presenting the TV component separately.

EE TV + Full Fibre 100 £27.99

per month for the first 3 months

Current live example checked 15 August 2026:

  • Entertainment EE TV package
  • Full Fibre 100 broadband
  • £27.99 per month for 3 months
  • £48.99 per month after 3 months
  • £54.99 from March 2027
  • £60.99 from March 2028
  • £30 activation fee
  • 24-month minimum term
Check current EE bundle

This example shows why a broadband and TV deal needs more analysis than a single large monthly number.

The introductory price is £27.99, but the package moves to £48.99 after three months and then passes through scheduled annual increases.

Which broadband speed should you pair with EE TV?

Television streaming itself is not a reason to automatically buy BT's fastest broadband package.

Even a household watching several streams simultaneously can often operate perfectly well below 900Mbps.

Faster broadband becomes more valuable when the television is sharing the connection with several other demanding users, large game downloads, cloud backups and heavy home working.

Smaller or normal household

A Full Fibre tier around 100–150Mbps can already support streaming, browsing, video calls and ordinary gaming very comfortably.

Start around 100–150Mbps

Busy family home

Multiple streams, gamers, workers and frequent downloads make 300–500Mbps increasingly useful.

Consider 300–500Mbps

Heavy connected household

If several people routinely move large files and download large games, 500Mbps provides substantial headroom.

500Mbps makes sense

Power user

900Mbps is most useful when reducing huge download times is genuinely valuable rather than simply because it is the biggest number available.

Consider 900Mbps

The £6 annual price increase matters on a TV and broadband bundle

This is probably the most important pricing detail on the entire page.

BT currently states that on applicable in-contract plans:

Broadband +£4

per month on 31 March each year.

TV +£2

per month on 31 March each year.

Broadband + TV +£6

per month in total on applicable current bundle plans.

On a 24-month contract taken in August 2026, you can therefore encounter both the March 2027 and March 2028 scheduled increases.

That means the first price shown in an advert can be a poor representation of the price you will pay towards the end of the agreement.

Compare the price path, not just the starting price For every bundle, write down the introductory price, the normal post-promotion price, the March 2027 price and the March 2028 price. This makes competing packages far easier to compare properly.

EE TV Box Pro or Box Edge?

The TV package determines what you can watch.

The box determines a large part of how you watch it.

EE TV Box Pro

  • 1TB hard drive
  • Up to around 600 hours of recordings
  • Conventional TV recording
  • Optional aerial input
  • Internet TV mode
  • 4K HDR support
  • Dolby Atmos
  • Pause and rewind live TV
Best if you record television

EE TV Box Edge

  • Smaller streaming-focused box
  • No conventional hard-drive recording
  • No aerial input
  • Internet connection required
  • Free-to-air channels through internet mode
  • Catch-up and streaming apps
  • Pause and rewind support
Best if you mainly stream

For a household that records sport, soaps or live programmes, we think Box Pro has a very clear advantage.

For someone who already treats television like Netflix and rarely records anything, Edge is much easier to justify.

Read our complete EE TV Box Pro vs Box Edge comparison.

Which BT TV and broadband bundle is best for entertainment?

Entertainment is where we would start for most households that do not need premium sport.

It currently combines NOW Entertainment & HBO Max with Netflix Standard with adverts.

That gives access to premium entertainment while avoiding the much larger sports-package prices.

Big Entertainment becomes the better choice when NOW Cinema is important.

The key question is therefore not whether Big Entertainment has “more content”. It obviously does.

The question is whether you would independently pay for the additional Cinema membership.

Compare all five EE TV packages

Our dedicated package guide breaks down the channels, memberships and intended audience for every current EE TV option.

Compare EE TV packages

Which BT TV and broadband bundle is best for sport?

The sports decision is particularly straightforward.

Sport is primarily the TNT Sports package.

Big Sport combines TNT Sports with Sky Sports through NOW.

Full Works combines the broader sports proposition with entertainment and Cinema.

Champions League, MotoGP or UFC

TNT Sports is the important service, so Sport may already contain what you need.

Start with Sport

Premier League + Formula 1

The combination of TNT Sports and Sky Sports makes Big Sport significantly more comprehensive.

Big Sport

Sport + films + premium TV

Full Works becomes more attractive where the household also values Cinema and entertainment memberships.

Full Works

Sports fan on a budget

Do not pay for Big Sport simply because it has more channels if all of your important competitions already sit on TNT Sports.

Check the rights first

Our EE TV Sports Packages 2026 guide compares Sport, Big Sport and Full Works in detail.

Do you need Full Works?

Full Works is the easiest package to understand and the easiest package to overbuy.

It is designed for a household that genuinely wants premium entertainment, movies and sport in the same package.

If one person watches Premier League football and Formula 1 while somebody else watches HBO Max, Netflix and Sky Cinema, the proposition starts to make sense.

If everybody mainly watches football, Big Sport is the more relevant comparison.

If nobody watches sport, Big Entertainment is much more logical.

And if your household mostly wants mainstream entertainment, start with Entertainment.

Don't choose Full Works because it is “the best” package It is the biggest package. That is different. The best-value package is the lowest tier that contains the content your household would otherwise pay to obtain separately.

Can you change your EE TV package later?

Yes. Flexibility remains one of EE TV's most useful features.

EE allows eligible customers to move between its TV packages during the contract, subject to its current upgrade and downgrade rules.

This is particularly valuable for sports viewers.

You might value Big Sport during a football or Formula 1 season but want a different content mix at another point in the year.

EE also sells TV Extras that can be added and removed separately.

That means you do not necessarily need to buy the largest package for 24 months simply because there is one service you want occasionally.

How much does EE TV multiroom cost?

EE currently advertises an additional EE TV Box Edge for £10 per month to watch in another room.

That cost deserves to be included in the total household bundle before ordering.

Two-room viewing may be very valuable to a family, but an extra £10 each month becomes £120 a year before considering any future pricing changes.

Again, evaluate the household rather than the feature list.

EE TV apps and streaming services

EE TV combines traditional television navigation with major streaming platforms.

Depending on your package and subscriptions, the platform can bring together services including:

  • NOW
  • Netflix
  • HBO Max
  • Prime Video
  • Disney+
  • TNT Sports
  • Free-to-air television

This hybrid structure is the main reason EE TV feels different from simply buying several streaming apps independently.

The TV guide, Box Pro recording and integration with traditional channels give it more of a conventional pay-TV feel.

Our full EE TV Review 2026 looks at the service as a whole.

Already have BT Broadband?

You do not necessarily need to start again with a completely new broadband order.

BT's TV site specifically provides an option for existing BT Broadband customers to add EE TV to their package.

Before doing that, check your existing broadband contract.

Adding or changing TV can interact with your wider BT relationship, so establish:

  • Your current broadband price
  • Your broadband contract end date
  • Whether adding TV starts or extends a minimum term
  • Your current broadband speed
  • The TV package price
  • Any activation fee
  • The equipment being supplied
  • Scheduled future prices
Already have BT Broadband?

BT has a dedicated route for adding EE TV to an existing broadband account.

Add EE TV to BT Broadband

Customers approaching the end of their broadband minimum term should also read our BT Deals for Existing Customers 2026 guide before recontracting.

Should you buy the bundle through BT or EE?

We would not make this a loyalty decision.

We would compare the final order produced by each relevant route.

Check BT when...

  • You already use BT Broadband
  • You have a personalised BT upgrade offer
  • You want to add EE TV to an existing BT account
  • BT is showing a stronger broadband promotion
  • You prefer the BT billing/account route

Check EE when...

  • You are shopping for a completely new broadband and TV bundle
  • EE is offering an aggressive combined introductory price
  • You want to compare EE's direct Full Fibre options
  • You already have an EE relationship
  • The final combined contract is cheaper

The television package itself is not the reason to choose one route over the other.

Price, broadband service, equipment, contract terms and eligibility are.

Compare EE's direct TV + broadband offer

Check the current combined bundle against the package BT offers for your postcode before committing.

BT TV and broadband vs Sky

For many shoppers, the real comparison is not BT versus EE.

It is the EE TV ecosystem versus Sky.

EE has an interesting advantage for households that still value conventional recording because Box Pro contains a 1TB hard drive.

Sky Stream instead centres its experience around Sky's Playlist system rather than conventional local hard-drive recording.

Sky also has the advantage of being its own native premium-TV ecosystem, while EE uses partners such as NOW to bring Sky channels into EE TV.

We have already compared the two platforms in our EE TV vs Sky Stream 2026 guide.

Are BT TV and broadband deals good value?

They can be.

The attraction is convenience.

You can combine broadband, premium television, major streaming services and sport into a relatively integrated package rather than managing everything independently.

But bundles also make it easier to lose sight of how much each component costs.

A broadband package that looks reasonable can become expensive after:

  • Premium TV
  • Sports
  • Cinema
  • Additional TV boxes
  • Calling plans
  • Annual price increases

For that reason, we recommend building your own “unbundled equivalent” before signing.

Ask what you would pay if you bought the broadband and streaming memberships you actually use separately.

If the EE TV bundle is cheaper or close enough that the integrated TV experience is worth the difference, it is a strong proposition.

If the bundle is substantially more expensive because it includes content you rarely watch, reduce the package.

Which BT TV and broadband package would we choose?

Start with the household's TV habits — then buy enough broadband to support them

There is no single BT TV and broadband deal that is best for everybody.

But the decision tree is much simpler than the number of possible bundles makes it look.

For general entertainment: start with Entertainment.

NOW Entertainment, HBO Max and Netflix create a substantial TV package without paying for Cinema or premium sport.

For movies: compare Big Entertainment.

The reason to upgrade is NOW Cinema, not simply because the package has the word “Big” in its name.

For TNT Sports viewers: Sport is the logical starting point.

For serious sports fans: Big Sport is the stronger choice because adding Sky Sports dramatically broadens the live sports schedule.

For a household that genuinely wants everything: Full Works can make sense, but at £88 per month for the TV component before broadband it needs to replace a lot of services you would otherwise pay for.

Then choose broadband separately.

There is little point paying for 900Mbps simply because your television package is expensive. A much lower Full Fibre tier can already stream television comfortably.

Finally, check the complete price path.

Current BT terms add £4 to broadband and £2 to TV each 31 March on applicable plans. A bundle therefore becomes £6 per month more expensive at each scheduled annual increase.

Our preferred approach: Entertainment + sensible Full Fibre for an ordinary household; Big Sport + suitable Full Fibre for the committed sports fan; Full Works only where the household genuinely uses the sports, movies and premium entertainment together.

BT TV and broadband deals FAQs

Does BT still offer TV and broadband deals?

Yes. BT still sells broadband and television bundles, but the television service is now provided under the EE TV proposition.

Is BT TV now EE TV?

BT has partnered with EE for its current television service. The packages now sold are EE TV Entertainment, Sport, Big Entertainment, Big Sport and Full Works.

How many EE TV packages are there?

There are five main flexible packages: Entertainment, Sport, Big Entertainment, Big Sport and Full Works.

How much is EE TV Entertainment through BT?

When checked on 15 August 2026, BT was advertising Entertainment for £1 per month for the first three months and £22 per month afterwards, before the broadband cost. The TV price was shown as £24 from 31 March 2027 and £26 from 31 March 2028.

How much is EE TV Sport through BT?

BT was advertising Sport for £5 per month for three months and £25 afterwards when checked on 15 August 2026. Broadband is additional.

How much is EE TV Big Sport?

BT was advertising Big Sport for £15 per month for the first three months and £55 per month afterwards when checked. It combines TNT Sports with Sky Sports through NOW. Broadband is additional.

How much is EE TV Full Works?

BT was listing Full Works at £88 per month for the TV component when checked on 15 August 2026, increasing to £90 from 31 March 2027 and £92 from 31 March 2028. Broadband is additional.

Does BT TV include Netflix?

Netflix is included within the current Entertainment, Big Entertainment and Full Works propositions. Sport customers can add Netflix separately if required.

Can you get Sky Sports with BT?

Yes. Sky Sports is available through NOW within EE TV. Big Sport and Full Works include the Sky Sports proposition alongside TNT Sports.

Can you get TNT Sports with BT TV?

Yes. TNT Sports is included with Sport, Big Sport and Full Works and can also be added to eligible other EE TV packages.

Can I record TV with EE TV?

Yes, with EE TV Box Pro. It has a 1TB hard drive and BT states that it can store up to around 600 hours of television. Box Edge is a non-recordable device.

Do I need a TV aerial for EE TV?

No. Box Pro can operate in internet mode without an aerial, although the free-to-air channel selection can differ from aerial mode. Box Edge is designed around internet delivery and has no aerial input.

Can I get EE TV in another room?

Yes. EE currently advertises an additional EE TV Box Edge for £10 per month for another room.

Does EE TV require broadband?

Yes. BT states that its current EE TV packages are sold alongside broadband, while EE directly advertises combined Full Fibre and TV bundles.

How much do BT TV and broadband prices increase each year?

BT currently states that applicable broadband plan prices increase by £4 per month and TV plan prices by £2 per month on 31 March each year. A broadband and TV bundle therefore increases by £6 per month in total at each applicable annual increase.

Is Big Sport better than Full Works?

For sport alone, Big Sport is generally the more relevant package because it already combines TNT Sports and Sky Sports. Full Works becomes more attractive where the household also wants premium entertainment and Cinema.

Can I change my EE TV package during the contract?

EE offers flexible package changes subject to its current upgrade and downgrade rules. This allows eligible customers to change their content mix without necessarily waiting for the original minimum term to end.

Should I buy TV and broadband through BT or EE?

Compare the actual offers. The television proposition is EE TV either way, so the deciding factors should be broadband speed, total price, promotion, equipment, account eligibility and contract terms rather than simply the BT or EE logo.

What is the best BT TV and broadband deal?

For many normal households, Entertainment paired with a sensible Full Fibre tier is a strong starting point. Big Sport is more appropriate for serious sports fans, while Full Works is best reserved for households that genuinely use sport, films and premium entertainment together.
